year’s E.T. road movie _Paul_.*
“If we could think of a story that was absolutely justifiable,
that was worth doing, I would do it again,” he confirmed during
an interview with _Collider_.
“But so I could have that experience again and enjoy working
with people, the camaraderie and the friendship.”
The actor, who wrote and produced _Paul_ along with regular playmate
Nick Frost, said that they even have a story idea for a possible
follow-up.
“Nick and I have this idea that we had out on the way to Area 51
that was really funny,” he says. “It was like oh, this
could be great. It would cost an absolute fucking fortune.
“If it involved more than one Paul, it would mean that
we’d have to have twice that budget again. The idea was it was
called _Pauls_. Again, it was like _From Dusk Til Shaun_, that title
is so good we have to make that film.”
Pegg also went on to reveal that his role in the fourth _Mission:
Impossible_ film will definitely be larger than his appearance in the
third.
“I had two days on _Mission: Impossible III_,” he says.
“That was it. I did seven months on the fourth one so yeah, I go
back.”
So does the fourth film involve Tom Cruise passing the franchise torch
to newcomer Jeremy Renner? “It has been bandied around,”
Pegg muses. “Looking at the film as it is, I don’t think
so. It’s anyone’s guess really.”
_Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol_ opens 26 December 2011.
